I saw this idea to interview my boys from my friend Becky's blog. I haven't been able to upload pictures or update my blog for a while, but I thought that I would at least put this on there.
Mom: What is something your mom always says to you?
Shane: You always talk to me. Nice stuff. Like loving and talking nice and you let me help make the food with you.
Jace: “Five, four, three, two, one…”
Mom: What makes mom happy?
Shane: You love me and you don’t be mad at me.
Jace: You go to the library and be happy to us.
Mom: What makes mom sad?
Shane: When I hurt your feelings. When I hit you or bite you.
Jace: You cry.
Mom: How does your mom make you laugh?
Shane: She makes funny faces and makes me laugh. And she makes jokes up and she does nice things.
Jace: You make me laugh because I’m silly. (Mom: “You are silly.” Jace’s response: “Yeah I am.”)
Mom: How do you make your mom laugh?
Shane: When I do funny jokes. When I do silly faces and when I like being a ghost.
Jace: We go to the park and make you laugh.
Mom: What was your mom like as a child?
Shane: A girl. You threw balls.
Jace: You were big, big, big.
Mom: How old is your mom?
Shane: 52 (thanks alot!)
Jace: 2
Mom: How tall is your mom?
Shane: 100 feet.
Jace: 3 months
Mom: What is her favorite thing to do?
Shane: Love. Be nice to others. Don’t fight. And don’t be mad at Mommy. And don’t sit on the table.
Jace: Eat and color (perhaps his favorite....?).
Mom: What does your mom do when you're not around?
Shane: Mommy cleans up the kitchen. She cleans up the dinner table. And she goes to the doctor.
Jace: You go home. You eat dinner.
Mom: What is your mom really good at?
Shane: Awesome stuff.
Jace: Cooking brownies.
Mom: What is your mom not very good at?
Shane: Bad stuff.
Jace: You’re not good at the library.
Mom: What does your mom do for her job?
Shane: Cleans up the kitchen and like goes to rest and sleeps and she cleans up the kitchen and she makes dinner.
Jace: You go home and clean up the floor and the dinner table.
Mom: What is your moms favorite food?
Shane: Pizza.
Jace: Frosted flakes. Daddy likes to eat frosted flakes too.,
Mom: What makes you proud of your mom?
Shane: I love you.
Jace: You be a ghost. Go to the library.
Mom: What do you and your mom do together?
Shane: Make dinner. We help each other like I help Daddy fix the tools and put the tools away and helping him fix it. And like I help you make quesadillas and I help you make dinner and I help you do the laundry and you throw the laundry to me and I put it in the dryer and I love you.
Jace: We go to the library and be happy. We go on walks.
Mom: How are you and your mom the same?
Shane: We’re both Monsons. You have brown eyes and my eyes are brown too.
Jace: We’re both big.
Mom: How are you and your mom different?
Shane: I’m a boy and you’re a girl.
Jace: You’re Mommy and I’m Jace.
Mom: How do you know your mom loves you?
Shane: I give you a BIG hug (with the action). I give you a kiss (with the kiss as well).
Jace: You be happy at the library. You give me big hugs and kisses and tuck me in bed and turn the light off. That’s enough talking.
As you can see Jace was fixated on the whole library thing for some reason, but it was really fun doing this. Thanks for the idea Becky!
