First Snow

I am still getting caught up from November...November 14th to be exact. It was the first snow of the year and the boys were sooo eager to get out into it that they would barely eat their breakfast. One good thing about living in Alaska for all those years is that the kids are definitely outfitted for cold weather. The would've stayed outside all day if I had let them. After tromping around in every square inch of virgin snow that they could find in our yard they went over and found some in our neighbors.

Even though the snow was very powdery we did accomplish our goal of building a snowman: Billy. Billy for the record is the name of every snowman that we have ever built. I am not sure why, but it is. In order to build Billy though we had to shovel the grass to get a big enough pile. Yes, shovel the grass. My neighbor came over and laughingly told me that he had plenty of snow over in his yard too if we needed more. By the end of the day Billy was looking pretty sad.

Brett was so eager to get in the snow, but after a few face-plants he wanted nothing to do with it and was very content to just chew on Billy's nose.
