While Trav's dad was here visiting, Jace was running around and ended up taking a header into the fireplace. It was deep enough that we decided to take him to the emergency room. Luckily Harold drove Travis so that all of us didn't have to go (Thanks Harold!). At the hospital that they went to they have a Children's Hospital which has its own emergency room so the rooms are totally geared toward kids (i.e. DVD players with movies in the rooms, books, toys etc). All in all it was a pretty uneventful visit. They Dermabonded it close, gave him a popsickle and they were on thier way. This picture is a couple of days old, but you can see that he was pretty unphased by the whole event. Hopefully this will be the last trip to the E.R....ya right!

The name of this blog post is really a misnomer...it is definitely NOT Jace's first trip to the ER--it should be called "Jace's Most Recent Trip to the ER"... :)
I mean, the kid was barely 10 days old and we had to take him to the ER...(and haven't really slowed down since!). I guess that 1st trip to the ER when Jace was brand new--literally only about 10 days old--it really should have been a warning to us as to what kind of kid Jace was going to be!
When my Mom heard about Jace's recent trip to the ER, she said, "He's TOTALLY you, Travis!" Oh well...divine justice or something like that, right? :)
He looks SO GROWN UP!! I can't believe it! I'm so glad we get to see you guys in just over a month!! and I'm glad his accident wasn't too bad.
Um, I hate to say this, but if Jace truly is like his father, you guys will be going to the ER at least once a year for the foreseeable future. But hey, chicks dig scars, right Trav?
I don't even notice the scar. Look at those gorgeous eyes and that great smile!
