Zoo Lights

We tried to go to Zoo Lights at the Lincoln Park Zoo while Haley was there only to drive down there and find out that they were closed. So a couple of nights later we tried again. It was AWESOME! I love Lincoln Park Zoo anyway because it is FREE. That's right in the heart of downtown Chicago there is something that is free. Granted you do have to pay about $15 for parking but for all of us to go I still think it is a great deal.

It was a great night; not too cold and the kids really enjoyed it. (Apart from Shane wetting his pants because he "forgot" that he had to go, and Travis and Harold drying his pants out under the hand dryer....really fun) They had a person carving ice with a chain saw, all sorts of light displays and of course the animals. They even had a display that was choreographed to music. They were passing out some 3-D glasses that when you looked at the lights they made them appear as snowmen. We got to the gates and they had already run out so we started asking people that were leaving if we could have theirs. Before too long we had enough for all of us.

It was a great time and Harold, Jackie, and Tonya were such good sports to come along with us...Thank You!
