The Funny Stuff

I know that I am quite behind, but I decided to write down a few of the things that the boys have said lately that really just crack me up before I forget them. I know there are quite a few things that I have already forgotten.

When we were on a recent trip to Las Vegas we were eating at a delicious buffet one night. Shane LOVES meat so had already had a lot, but Travis asked him to try just one more bite of something else. Here is what Jace had to say about it.

Travis: Just one more bite Shane; it's really good.
Shane: No Dad I am already full.
Jace: Ya Shane, just one more bite-it is really yummy! I love meat!
Travis: Do you want a bite Jace?
Jace: (thinking)
Jace: (smiling) No, I only like meat at home! (ya right)

Along those same lines, we were having some sort of meat one night at dinner, and here is the conversation. (Mind you Jace eats very little meat)

Shane: I love meat!
Trav: I guess you are a carnivore because you like meat so much.
Shane: What is a carnivore?
Trav: An animal that eats meat a lot. What animal are you?
Shane: I'm a lion (or tiger I can't remember)
Jace: I like meat, I'm a carnivore.
Trav: What animal are you then?
Jace: A zebra.
Trav: (laughing) Who says that?
Jace: I do!

Shane is constantly talking in some "foreign" language and just randomly telling us that it is this language or that language.
Shane: Blaa, Blaa, Blaa
Mom: What?
Shane: Blaaa, Blaa, Blaa
Mom: I don't understand you Shane, what language are you talking in?
Shane: Science project.
No wonder I didn't understand it! :-)

Shane has also been making up random jokes lately. I've talked to a couple of other moms with kids his age and they have said that theirs are doing it too....must be a phase.

Shane: Mom, what does a cow and a chicken say when they are rolling down a hill?
Mom: What?
Shane: moo, bock, moo, bock, moo....splat! (Laughing histerically)

I love my kiddos and I will try to write more as I remember them.
