Casey hamming it up
Meghan, Casey, and Cassidy
Brett and me at Martha's Pot
Need I say more??
Ironically we learned that driving along Highway 50 and visiting my sister Meghan along the way cut out like 200 miles of driving for us. I was completely for whatever got us driving less. Meghan lives literally in the middle of nowhere (no offence Meghan :)) in Moniter Valley (smack in the middle of Nevada). I have always told people that my older sister is amazing, but after visiting her I believe it even more. I am much to much of a sissy to live the sort of lifestyle they live every day. I think that they live about 1 1/2 hours away from any town (Eureka or Austin), and about 45 minutes away from thier "neighbor".
After lunch Meghan and Cassidy had to take some fence pannels up the valley to patch some fence and asked if I would like to come along. My mom volunteered to watch the kids for us (more photos of that to come), and we piled in Cassidy's truck for a drive. It was beautiful, and it brought back so many memories of my childhood. My nephew Casey is such a ham. The kids doesn't say a whole lot but his facial expressions are classic. After repairing the fence they drove me to a Marth's Pot (I can't remember) which is a huge hole that is filled with SUPER hot water. Apparently before they drilled a hole in the side of the hill the water just spilled over the top. Quite an interesting thing.
Meghan's house ironically is the exact same floor plan as our house in Alaska. It was crazy walking in the door and seeing everything the same. (It made me miss that house a little).
