If any of you are ever driving on Highway 50 (I don't know why you would drive that way) through Nevada you need to stop at this tree in the middle of nowhere. I don't know the official name of the tree other than "The Shoe Tree". Apparently if you get your tied shoes to land and stay in the tree somewhere you will have good luck. There are hundreds if not thousands of pairs of shoes hanging off the tree and even more in the ditch below. There are go-go boots, Winnie the Pooh slippers, tennis shoes, ski boots; you name it they are somewhere in this tree.
I guess you need something to liven up the "Loneliest Road in America". (It really has been named this)

Oh My Gosh Allie--- How stange it is to see the Shoe Tree on your blog. You will have to ask Kinz and your Dad how panicked I was when we broke down right next to it last August on the way to State Fair. We had a 25 foot trailer, 5 or 6 sheep, a dog, 7 kids and no transmission right next to that tree. There is another tree up the road about a quarter mile from the shoe tree with Ties in it.... did you see that one too? Your family is so cute and I love to read your blog except that it makes me feel so stinkin' OLD!
